Big Idea
Accountability types: personal (to yourself), to someone else, and to a team.
Blake learned how accountability can impact himself and others around him. Uncle James was accountable to himself by working out. Jennifer was accountable to Blake’s Dad being on-time and to the Marketing team for executing on their trade show plans. Below is an activity to recognize accountability in your life and the impact and success it has.
Instructions
Make a chart for the three kinds of accountability: personal (yourself), others and team.
List out things you are accountable for - values, goals.
Think of Blake’s examples (CH 5). Then think of your own life. Make a chart with real life examples of each of the types of accountabilities.
NOTE: If you do not hold yourself accountable now, what kind of goals could you make to hold yourself accountable?
After completing the chart, think of who is impacted by your accountability in each example you wrote on the chart.
What you will learn.
The ability to repeatedly do what you say you will.
